Dates: March 18 and 19 2021
The event will bring together researchers from all over the world to discuss how best to assess, establish and maintain the credibility and trustworthiness of expertise in a rapidly changing media environment.
Keynotes, panels, and a final roundtable discussion will deal with distrust and disinformation, populist responses to expertise, and the role of journalism and platform algorithmic design in formations of public trust in science. Scholars will present their latest findings, touching on a wide range of topics such as the pandemic, climate change, conspiracy theories, social media platforms, and many more.
